Supernova Settles

A while back, we talked about the show Rock Star: Supernova.  This years version of Rock Star: INXS.  In R/S Supernova, Tommy Lee and crew were looking for a new lead singer to front their new band.  Well Supernova ran into trouble when another band, also called Supernova sued them for trademark infringment.

Well, the old band was actually called "Supernova From Cynot3" they have a great video on YouTube.  Check it out.

In the days leading up to the season finale, Tommy Lee and the boys (is Lucas really a "guy"?) were dealt a set back from the judge issued a preliminary injunction prohibiting them from using the Supernova name.  As usually happens when an injunction is issued, the losing party bends over and settles.  In this case, the terms were not disclosed, but those of you going out to Las Vegas will now be seeing "Rock Star Supernova"  not "Supernova"  (ok, even in IHA's book this is getting lame).

The full story can be read in the Hollywood Reporter.

Oh no, you dropped your sidebar! Maybe the YouTube is too big for your text boxes or something.

Someone at work today can be quoted as saying “Lukus is the result of what would happen if you were to mate a Rooster with a Skunk!”

Kind of funny. Guess you had to be there.
